red

red has taken on a whole new meaning for me. before yesterday it was meant danger, caution, or rough roads ahead. now it means hey stop! and listen to God. there’s lots to hear.

thanks, carmina, renee and kathy for listening to my story.

taking

these words with me into my week.

journaling

i was encouraged by a wise friend to begin journaling my thoughts so i can come back to them later. i have been journaling and thought i would extend it here to document how God works in my life throughout the week.  this week i needed comfort, clarity and a sense of community. i found it this week during rich conversation…on the deck…by candle light…in the cool fall air. there are not photos of the candles balanced on jelly jars or the wax dripping from the table….but, here’s one taken in space that we have shared and one i long to return to.

found this quote in my inbox this morning….
“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured
by the compassionate actions of its members, a heart of grace, and a soul generated by love.”
