mountain treasure

on the afternoon of day three the kiddos desperately wanted to go horseback riding but rain and thunderstorms threatened. i had read about this place and thought it would be fun, but had no idea the mountain treasure we would find. the building is an old general store, the potter’s create everything from nativity scenes to egg separators.

each child who comes through the door is offered a piece of clay to shape as they wish. they then leave the creation to be fired and glazed and they may take a finished piece that someone else created.

this is sam. he loves his job. if i hadn’t been watching i’m pretty sure sam would have been in the van to come home with us.

not sure who bob is.
