halfway home

again, here we are in ames, iowa. halfway home. we are now relaxed and renewed. we have experienced God’s beauty over and over and over again during the past 8 days.

small, quaint cabin-fresh baked bread and note to welcome us-waking to the loon calls-sounds of the paddles in the water-new friends-greeting a friend from home-cousins canoeing-finger fishing-one big fish lots of little ones-bald eagles-quietness of true wilderness-paddling and paddling and paddling-sister’s paddling-wolves-luna moths-meals together-rock chunking-picnicing-warm sun on my face and cool water on my feet-lake superior-tunnels-chickens-heirloom orchard-being led out of the forest.
